Tennessee Titans 2008 Offensive Depth Chart

Here is my prediction for what the Titans depth chart will look like when the Titans take the field at LP Field on September 7th to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Give me your thoughts in the comments:

QB- Vince Young, Kerry Collins

RB- Chris Johnson, LenDale White, Chris Henry

FB- Ahmard Hall, Casey Cramer

WR- Justin Gage, Mike Williams (that's right), Justin McCareins, Roydell Williams, Biren Ealy, Lavelle Hawkins, Brandon Jones- Hawkins will see a lot of time in the slot

TE- Algae Crumpler, Bo Scaife, Craig Stevens, Dwayne Blakely

LT- Michael Roos, Daniel Loper

LG- Jake Scott

C- Kevin Mawae, Leroy Harris

RG- Eugene Amano

RT- David Stewart

A lot of this is pretty obvious.  The most interesting battle to watch will be the wide receivers.

Looks great to me....

although I don’t see Chris Johnson being the No. 1 RB at the start of the season. I say it’s still gonna be LDW and I see CJ lining up in the slot a couple of times also.

And thanks for showing some love to my man, Eugene Amano!

Go Titans!

Does anyone else truly believe in Mike Williams??

I know I don’t. He lost alot of weight, congratulations. Does he still run crap routes and drop balls? Yea, I bet.

When it comes to our WRs

I’ll believe anything. I feel like have NO factually or rationally based idea what any of these guys are really capable of…

Our best pick-up this off-season has been 'Dinger. Go Titans!

Offense

On our offensive line – I thought Jake Scott was def. going to be starting at RG — Eugene and Leroy battling for LG? My bet is Eugene winning.

Also – I highly doubt Mike Williams will start. I bet it will be Justin.

and LenDale will still start - Chris Johnson will compliment him tremendously.

P.S. - Get rid of Kevin Mawae!

WR

I agree Lendale will be the starter no way they would start a rook with a solid vet like Lendale who has done nothing to lower his status with the titans. Honestly I am expecting big things from Mike Williams this season. I think he has totally rededicated his-self and is ready to prove people wrong. The thing to remember is that this guy is only 24 and i believe he lost his motivation to play football when he tried to enter the NFL and had to wait a full year to play it again. This guy had insane hands back in USC and i believe that he will make a turn around this season.

i like mike

but i think it will be gage and roydell starting. roydell showed some flashes last year and he gives the titans a different type of receiver. i think gage and mike williams are too similar and wont stretch defenses enough (hello chris johnson).

i think lendale will be the starter and get more carries than johnson, but hopefully johnson will be the gamebreaker we need and get 15 – 20 touches a game.

About Mike Williams

Here’s the thing about Mike Williams: he’s big and strong. He’d probably not be a good slot guy. He’s the kind of guy you want on a sideline jumping over the DB and pulling the ball in, not the shifty guy you want in the slot. If he’s playing he’s either a starter or a sub, but not a slot receiver.

mine

not going to go over Oline or QB…..

and only going to list players that will play significantly….

RB – LenDale, Chris Johnson
FB – Ahmad Hall
TE – Crumpler, Scaife
WR – Gage, JMac, Roydell, Ealy, Mike Williams, Hawkins

though i doubt chris henry gets cut (we will keep 3 rb’s)....he will hardly see the field….only if there is an injury to lendale or chris johnson…

and I just can’t see Fish letting chris johnson start over lendale….LenDale was a warrior last year…..he earned his starting position for Game 1. He will still need to produce to earn starting the rest of the year, but even if chris johnson is the next jim brown in training camp, lendale still starts game 1….he earned that right last year…

on wr’s….

brandon jones and chris davis are likely to get cut, IMO….

thunder and lightning....

remember lendale with reggie bush at usc? cj is going to be our reggie bush, but better for the nfl. with vy, i’m looking to have the nfl’s leading rushing attack, especially with lendale healthy this year….
