Benji Olson to Retire

Benji Olson will retire this afternoon. He had hinted at this at the end of the season. This means the Titans will lose both of their starting guards from last season's team with Jacob Bell signing with the St. Louis Rams earlier this offseason. The Titans have signed Jake Scott to replace one guy, and the other will be replaced by either Eugene Amano or LeRoy Harris.

Olson has been a class act and represented the organization well. Best of luck to him in whatever he decides to do next.

... hate to see Benji's career get cut short by back injuries, but he gave the Titans 10 gutty and reliable years. Thanks for the great play, and thanks for doing it the right way!

might be an option, just got cut by texans cause of cap space. he could play center or LG. doubt it will happen though, he's texan guy by heart (sucks for him) and he wants to start, if he's looking at a 1 yr deal, he wants to take a pay cut and re-sign. 33 yrs old and coming off knee surgery, but pretty decent OL from what i hear. would be pretty surprised if he played under the command of a longhorn too, as he's a diehard aggy too (sucks for him even more). guess i just made me realize that there are some players like that out there. wouldnt mind a vetern to offset the youth at that position.

Boy

Benji was one of my favorite players. He was the anchor of that offensive line IMO. Him and Stewart were so stout over on the right, and I will truly miss him. Best of luck to him and his family!
