Vince Young's Punching Bag Agrees to Terms
Donnie Nickey, who is probably most famous for being punched by Vince Young, agreed to terms with the Titans today. Nickey has made his living as a special teams player, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
I know this isn't exactly the most exciting news ever, but it is a whole lot better than talking about #32's appearance on Michael Irvin's radio show. I did come up with a title for the show though; The Playmaker and The Rainmaker.
Here is the best quote from that interview:

he
its going to go down as the worst trade ever in the history of the nfl if we get a 4th and they get a probolwer cus he is going to stay out of trouble now watch. if the front office is that stupid to let him go iam going to have to reevalueate my fanship that has gone on for decades. i dont ever remember a oiler or titan player besides earl cambell that brings the excitment level he does. ive been waiting years and years for a player of his caliber only to give it away makes no sence whatsoever to me.
i for one hope he comes back, he will not make another mistake he knows one more and hes gone. he has gone as far as to say he will put in his contract that any misbehavior will have negative impact on his finances.
what more can this guy do to be back in the good graces of the fans. cut the guy some slack and drop vindictive hatefull nonforgiving attitudes. thats why he wants to go to dallas anyway cus he thinks everybody hates him in tenn. probally due to this site. whatever happned to forgive and forget?
he sounds reforemd to me in a big way so why not give him a second chance. the locker room stuff cant be all that bad. sure him and albert got into it but o well boys will be boys no biggie. albert can take care of himself whats he scared of?
is there a list of things he has done inside the locker room that we dont know about that hurts his value so much? if so i would like to know then maybe i will change my mind.

well...
Only time will tell if he changes his ways, and though I agree with you that it will really hurt Titans fans if he goes to Dallas and succesfully revives his career, until such time as he has a couple of seasons under his belt without getting into trouble, he has no credibility as far as being reformed.
He deserves another chance, somewhere, but only his actions can speak for him now, his words are meaningless.

Wow......
I believe in second chances, and I believe that Pac has used up more than his fair share in Tennessee. If someone wants to take a shot at him, more power to them. I hope he can stay out of trouble and reach the phenomenol level of play that I know he is capable of. Most of all I hope he has learned some valuable lessons about life. Too bad it wasn't in time to salvage his career with the Titans.
Excellent point, Beans.

there is still one major problem...
DeSean Jackson might be the answer. If Jerry Rice loves him so much, then we can too!
What do you guys think?

Agree
And if he reforms and has a pro-bowl career at Dallas, more power to him, but sometimes, for some players, they have to move to make a fresh start. I really think his best chance is uprooting - take himself to a completely new stage that's not within driving range of Atlanta and try to surround himself with some new, non-thuggie friends.
Best thing for him is to move on. Titans aren't going to be a good spot for him, so best thing for them is to get as much as they can from the trade and let him go.

Amen....
she's all like: 'he really didn't mean to hit me for the 11th time in 3 years. plus, all of my DVDs are at his house. I can't just leave with nothing!'
and we're all like: 'umm, if you take him back he's just going to hit you again'
