LenDale White has been charged with destruction etc.

Crap, this was the last thing we needed.

DENVER - Police issued a citation to a Colorado native and current NFL player Saturday morning.

Denver Police say 23-year-old LenDale White, a running back for the Tennessee Titans, was cited for destruction of property, disobedience to a lawful order and interference and resisting.

The citation was issued to the Denver native after an incident at 22nd Street between Champa Street and Stout Street.

No other information was immediately available Sunday afternoon.

c'mon give me a.....
break.  oy vey.  we don't need this and we were having largely a productive offseason.  With this little issue, and Roger G's law enforcement history, what are the chances LenDale starts in our opening game this year....I put it at 70% he starts and 30% he is suspended.  I HOPE I'm wrong. Perhaps a poll, Jimmy?

Maybe they closed the waffle house on him?
Doesn't sound too horrible from what little info is available right now.  Lendale has always seemed pretty polite and soft-spoken to me, so I'm surprised he had a melt down.  Unless this turns out to be worse than described so far, it's way less than suspension territory.  Knocking a street sign down (for example) is not something you lay on suspensions for.  Unless you're in the movie Cool Hand Luke - then you're in trouble.

Yeah, I think I'll hold out saying anything...
...until we actually know something.  I mean, who knows what happened?  He could have had a run-in with a cop going through a divorce.

This is one of the reasons why I think the Commissioner's policy is unworkable.  It's not right to suspend a guy for charges.  They should only be suspended for convictions.  Because anybody can allege anything; that doesn't make the allegations true.  Now I have no idea if LenDale did something stupid--he probably did, at least at some level--but without knowing the background, it's hard to say it's a big deal.  I mean, he could have had a car accident and then argued with the police, which is dumb but hardly a reason for suspension.

Dammit!
Herr Fuhrer Adolph Goodell will surely find an excuse to dole out a year-long suspension for this...
