well well... what a disappointment this is. That pretty much wraps up the desireable free agents - who's left, Hackett?
Looks like the two Justins are our studs this year...
Does anybody have any theories on why this fell apart? This is extremely disappointing. Titans Front Office has let another one slip away.

I don't think....
Just a side note on the whole #1 receiver discussion from earlier in the week:
I don't disagree with Jimmy very often at all, but I do on this one. I think a number 1 receiver is the best receiver a team has, period. I think there could be a list of 30-40 guys that could be number one receivers for any given team. Right now, Gage is a number one receiver...what I think we need is a better number one. D. Mason was definitely in that category when we had him and he still is in Baltimore. He is not a superstar receiver, which the list that Jimmy posted would be more of that (imo). Bennett was a descent number one for us for a couple of years. You have guys like L.Coles and S. Moss and H.Ward that are number one receivers because when their QB needs a big completion, that is where the ball is thrown. In all honesty, Wycheck was our number one receiver (I know, he is a TE)for several years when McNair was here. What the Titans have is a roster full of WR's that would not be number ones anywhere but here...that's the big problem right now. Boy I hope this makes since. I just so you know, James Hardy will be a number one receiver somewhere soon in this league!!!
Your talking
Yes Gage is our #1 receiver. That is more in terms of a go to guy for our team individually, or more literally the #1 guy on the depth chart.
He was talking in the metaphorical. More in the terms of people calling a great WR a "#1 receiver". Basically anywhere he goes he will be the best WR on his team and or 1 of the best WRs in the league.
