Sherman Smith to the Redskins?

Here's a little piece of news out of DC. We have Smith under contract, so he would have to have Fisher's blessing. What do you guys think? And I'll keep writing until I meet the 300 character minimum, but I do think this piece of news does warrant a separate diary.

Seems like Smith...

...isn't sure he wants to go. Kind of surprising, given that he's apparently close to Zorn and that it would be such a big promotion. But it seems like that situation is gonna be a train wreck, and I'm sure Smith can see it. The question is: can he come out of it looking like a good Off. Coordinator?

And BTW, the Titans would almost HAVE to release Smith from his contract or risk alienating potential future hires. For example, a guy like Heimerdinger would be a lot less inclined to sign on with the Titans if the team made it clear that he would OBLIGATED to serve out a full contract, even if he were offered a Head Coaching job somewhere.
