Ask Dawgs By Nature

What a break, eh? First the Detroit Lions, now the Cleveland Browns? Relax and enjoy another mismatch...

...or will you?

Chris here from over at Dawgs By Nature, your Cleveland Browns affiliate. At 11-1, the Tennessee Titans have clearly outperformed the 4-8 Cleveland Browns this season. In the past few meetings though, these two teams have had some heart-throbbing contests. Of course, the teams have changed a lot personnel wise. We held the Indianapolis Colts to without an offensive touchdown last week, giving our defense some hope to "hang in there" this week against the Titans.

Now then, this is your open forum to ask me any questions about the Cleveland Browns, the Tennessee Titans, or my take on this week's game. So, start asking!

Is Bill Cowher going to make Brady Quinn the starter next year?

But seriously, is Romeo gone, or does he get a chance at a bounce back?

I think Savage’s chances of returning are greater than Crennel’s.

Overall, I think Savage has made a lot of great moves. It’s unfortunate that he had several poor incidents happen to him over the past couple of months (email to fan, publicly dissing Romeo in a way, etc.), but I wouldn’t mind having him back next season.

I think Romeo is pretty much gone. He may be a nice guy, but there are too many questionable decisions he has made as a head coach — from not playing rookies over veterans to horrible clock management. He’s had several years to turn the Browns around, and although there was some promise last year, we reverted right back into a losing trend this year.

Plus, with the fan hatred being so strong towards Romeo (not personally, but just as him being our coach), I don’t see how Randy Lerner says “I’ll give him another shot.”

weis in a landslide

the weis whale is one of those fiery fat guys with attitude. he’d tear through those donuts so fast, he’d probably eat the table by accident.
crennel on the other hand probably wouldn’t even realize there was a contest going on. he’d just absent-mindedly munch on the donuts while staring off into space.

Haha, yeah, I’d have to say Weis too. Andy Reid is worse in my book.

What about Braylon E.

is he even doinh well this year? When I’ve watched a Browns game, he hasn’t shown me much like that of last year.

Gotta figure he hasn't had the QB he had last year either

I know DA was there but he wasn’t the same……

I think it’s actually the other way around. Braylon Edwards had a major impact on Derek Anderson not being the QB he was last year. The amount of drops, and the critical timing of them, that Edwards has had is ridiculous. In all honesty, if Edwards was catching the ball like he did last year — and I don’t mean amazing catches, I mean catches in your breadbasket — then we are probably a 6-6 or even a 7-4 team right now.

If Edwards played better, Anderson would’ve never lost his job [this season] in my opinion.

Regarding why Edwards has played so poorly, that remains a mystery. He had a tremendous training camp, with him making highlight-reel plays at every single practice without any noteworthy drops. Then, Donte Stallworth stepped on his ankle, and Edwards missed three weeks of the preseason so that he didn’t rip the stitches out of his ankle. After that, Edwards hasn’t been the same. He’s been the same physically, just not in terms of having focus.

well i wish...

… there was only 1 reciever on our team that had trouble catching balls thrown right at their cement blocks they call hands…

Fortunately for you guys, the Titans can compensate for those drops with how solid the rest of the team is. The Browns can’t afford that.
