How is Jason Jones not the Rookie of the Week?

How did Jason Jones not win the Rookie of the Week award this week?

Matt Ryan? Seriously? He didn't have that great of a week according to stats:

Matt Ryan: 134 yds, 1 TD

Jason Jones: 3.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles

Looks like a popularity contest to me. How is the NFL defensive player of the week not the NFL rookie of the week?

At least Coach Fisher won Coach of the Week.

We should have a nominee for each offensive and defensive rookie of the year: Chris Johnson and Jason Jones, respectively.

We'll see what happens.

ESPN said that Matt Ryan should be Rookie of the Year about 4 weeks ago, so Matt Ryan will be Rookie of the Year.

Yes

He will be. no question. Chris Johnson has played outstanding football, but the Titans were a playoff team last year without him. Without Ryan, the Falcons win maybe 6-7 games this year. He is, without question, the RotY.

I agree that J. Jones deserved to be Rookie of the Week.

I think CJ has a good case for Offensive Rookie of the Year.

However, I don’t think J. Jones has a very good case for Defensive Rookie of the Year because, if nothing else, he hasn’t been a consistent starter. I don’t know who else is u for DRotY, but I’d say that Jerod Mayo has a better case than J. Jones because he’s been starting and playing well all season.

i think it should go to matt ryan

i think he’s going to be a star in this league. when have you seen a rookie qb with so much poise? atlanta is supposed to be rebuilding this year, and they’re going to the playoffs. i think next year they could make a superbowl run….

don’t get me wrong, cj is a stud. if he didn’t have to share carries with lendale (especially around the goal line) there would be a great argument.
