OT- Yankees and Happy Holidays
I know many of us are baseball fans so I thought I would escape the towel talk to bring up the Yankees. Are they just ruining all of fun of the Hot Stove League or what? It is ridiculous how they are allowed to operate and can buy whomever they want. Now I know they haven't won anything for a few years, but what they have done this offseason is probably going to change that. Baseball has to do something to fix this. It has to start with the players union. I don't blame to the team for doing it, they are just doing what they are allowed.
Also, I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Spend some time with your families and take a couple of stress free football weeks and enjoy it. Hopefully, the biggest gift from the Titans is yet to come!

That is why baseball is getting worse ratings than the NBA.
And it’s gonna keep getting worse cause MLB is run by a bunch of fools.
And it could be awesome.

having a billion games
and playing half of them during the work week at noon doesn’t help either.
Where I was raised 2 + 2 = 3rd and 6.

But the Yankees have proven that you cant buy a good team.
The last few years the Yankee clubhouse has looked like an all-star squad and they have been out played by teams that have 1/10th their salary.

True that.
It’s about chemistry just as much as detached statistics, and the Yanks have none (unless mercenary counts as chemistry). Besides which, their biggest flaw last year was pitching and, while they have gotten two of the best arms on the market, they managed to get themselves one guy who’s never pitched a complete and effective season without the motivation of a big contract and another guy who’s logged monumental innings over the past two seasons despite having the physique of Cecil Fielder on a milkshake bender. Neither’s a sure thing to be good this year, and certainly not down the road. Texeira ought to do well for them, but until they can match the Red Sox and Rays in pitching depth, I’m not buying what they’re buying.

Screw the Yankees
they’ve spent more money on 3 players this offseason than the Dbacks entire organization spends on everyone in a year. Salary cap is the only answer to keep the MLB competitive. Take the parody in the NFL and put in the MLB and you have something special.
Let's go Colts!
