Best quote I've heard from a Titan's Fan this season
On NFL.com they have a blog wondering if the titans and steelers will meet in the afc championship game and of course no one ends up talking about that. All you have is stuid people talking shit to each other. But a titans fan replied to a steelers fan with this quote
"Bottom line - we have a W, you have excuses. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs (go titans!)"
Let's hope for another spanking of Indy next week

next week....
let’s hope for a win, let’s hope for momentum, let’s hope for an upbeat lockeroom, but most importantly let’s hope for NO INJURIES.

I'm so tired of this.
No way do we see the Steelers again. No way. Who are they gonna beat in the playoffs? Indy? No. Baltimore? I wouldn’t count on it. The Pats? Ha! Hell, even San Diego might give them a run for their money. Bottom line, their O-Line is TERRIBLE, and their QB is loose with the football. That is the exact opposite of cold-weather, playoff football. This thing with the national press being on their jock this week is beyond ridiculous. It is a function of Pittsburgh being a national media market and of the press’s desire to sell newspapers, but beyond that, it is a complete sham.
And while we’re at it, can somebody PLEASE tell me again how wonderful Brett Favre is?
Seriously, Albert Haynesworth is just as important to the Tennessee Titans as Peyton Manning is to the Colts, and Big Al and KVB together are like Manning and Harrison, two of the best players at their respective positions who have played together for a number of years and who work very well together. So please, stop. Just stop. Pittsburgh got beat by more than two touchdowns by the Sorgi-led Colts. It was that bad. And it’s sad that I have to say it like that to make the point, but you know, this year more than any other I’ve learned that it is IMPOSSIBLE for a defensive tackle to even be considered as MVP of the League.

I disagree
That Albert is just as important to the Titans as Peyton is to the Colts.

I agree with Jimmy here
The Colts do not beat the Steelers without Peyton.

Well, you guys are entitled to your opinions.
But the Titans had been 2-6 w/out Big Al until yesterday over the last two years. With him, they have had one of the most dominant defenses in the NFL. And he has gotten serious League MVP talk. That, to me, puts him on par with the best players in the game—at any position.

Moreover, would you not agree that the Colts would have a chance w/out Peyton...
…if they had Big Al at DT, Bob Sanders active and healthy, and J. Addai runnning as well as he is capable of running?

What year are you talking about?
Guess #1: 1937
Justification: “Pittsburgh being a national media market” Pittsburgh is literally smaller than Nashville. Metro area slightly larger, but comparable.
Guess #2: 1997
Justification: “Can somebody PLEASE tell me again how wonderful Brett Favre is?” The NYBretts have lost 3 of 4, and Favre doesn’t have a QB rating over 61 in a month. I think the media’s been off the Favre thing. Oh, and Brett beat the Titans this year.
Guess #3: 2006
Justification: “Manning and Harrison, two of the best players at their respective positions who have played together for a number of years and who work very well together.” Harrison is the Colts 4th best receiver this year. Do you watch football anymore?
Guess #4: 1970
Justification: “It is IMPOSSIBLE for a defensive tackle to even be considered as MVP of the League.” Alan Page won MVP (AP) in 1971 as a DT for the Vikings.
Guess #5: 2017
Justification: “Pittsburgh got beat by more than two touchdowns by the Sorgi-led Colts.” The Steelers lost by 4 to the Manning-led Colts this year. Unsure as to whether or not the Steelers have ever lost a regular season game to a Sorgi-led Colts.
Was I close on any of the guesses?

Okay, I'll play... exactly once.
1. But the Steelers have a much bigger national following.
2. Switch your sarcasm meter to “ON”, and this will make sense.
3. KVB has also been injured, but like Harrison, his chemistry with the dominant player next to him is an important part of his unit’s overall team identity.
4. No, I cannot remember that. That was two years before I was born.
5. That was an illustration. But with your sarcasm-meter off, I’m sure it came through garbled and distorted.

Once more please?
2. Sarcasm meter is on, I’m telling you that story is months old.
3. What does “also been injured” mean? Harrison played every game this year. Again, a dated statement.
4. I wasn’t born either, but it happened. Everyone knows that only two defensive players have ever won MVP, and one was a DT.
5. Sarcasm meter still on, but what the hell are you illustrating? What was “that bad?” Do you think you make sense?
And while your at it, explain to me how you can say “it is IMPOSSIBLE for a defensive tackle to even be considered as MVP of the League” and then follow it up minutes later with “he has gotten serious League MVP talk”

go over to stampedeblue and tell them that. I think they’ll disagree.

Just going by numbers. . .
I don’t watch much Colts. He’s fourth in receptions and receiving yards. . . and he’s killed my fantasy team.

Steelers won’t be playing Baltimore or the Pats. Whoever gets in between them would be the 6th seed. If they win the first round game, they would be here in Nashville.

pats can still be the 3 seed
ravens can only be 6 and would thus play us for sure if they advanced.

So that means we'll most likely see:
Ravens vs. Dolphins, and then the Ravens in Nashville.
On the other side, Colts vs. Chargers, and then the winner in Pittsburgh.
Well, that has to be the nightmare scenario, Ravens in the first round.

yep.
id much rather play teams with a great offense than a great defense. i have no worries about us being able shut another team down, i do worry about scoring points.

It's not that I am scared of them
I just never will forget the feeling I had walking out of the stadium that day. The thought of it happening again, against the Ravens, makes me sick. There isn’t a team in the entire world that I would rather lose to less.

I think it's possible for him to be considered...
…but I don’t think he should win.
Any player who misses 3 or more games is disqualified from winning league MVP, at least in my opinion.
