I didn't see Pinoy Titan
So I thought I hit the wrong link!
Loving Brandon Jones.
Has been bailing us ou all year.
Bulluck Jersey
Hey, I have a road white jersey that has only been worn 3 or 4 times. It is XL. My wife bought it at a game and doesn’t like the way it feels on her. I’ll take $25 for it. It’s like new.
Hey Pinoy Titan
What are you doing in Dubai?
by FaninEcuador on Dec 14, 2008 1:41 PM CST up reply actions
hey gotitans
I guess I could use ANOTHER game jersey. If Pinoy Titan, (who hits send first AGAIN) doesn’t want it, I’ll buy it.
I have a US address
So what ever it takes to ship to FL

Chargers really suck this year
I wonder why? they have the same personnel as last year right?
Go Titans!
The Lions beating the Colts would totally be worth losing to the Texans.
~Till the Halo burns out...
That's a point.
But still, not seeing them being able to stop Manning for a whole half.
~Till the Halo burns out...
Got a couple of friends that work there as well.

Steve Tasker
Needs to be a little more impartial. I wish I could sync TitansRadio with the internet fans
we wont be hearing any NEAR mistakes against the steelers or the giants
those will be for sure turnovers
by ElectricScissors on Dec 14, 2008 1:55 PM CST up reply actions
yeah
if he had the gas he runs under that one. Once upon a time he had that gear, don’t think he does anymore. I really don’t think we should keep him next season.
we need to get into the endzone
we’ll be playing catch up if the texans put together another solid drive
by ElectricScissors on Dec 14, 2008 1:56 PM CST reply actions
whatever the Titans are paying Mac
they should be giving that money to Bironas instead
Do you think this is gonna be a Fisher-ball game?
Does he want to keep it close and wear down the defense? Is that smart?
yeah
They are just letting it go until the guy is on the ground

Damn
I know I’m beating a dead horse, but Trasker groans every time the Texans make a mistake
!
they are in a rhythm to win this game
unless they shoot themselves in the foot. our D is not playing bad, but looks like it is getting tired, and our offense isn’t able to score 7.
Hopefully they will shoot themselves in the foot.
dude
hell of a catch by the fan

Are these guys paid by the Texans?
I swear I’ve only heard love for the Texans. They seem to ignore whenever something bad happens.
About time we catch a break.
the texans are killing us
everywhere except the score board. They may double our time of possession at this oint and have a one point lead. Please score some points offense.
Man!
The feed is really slow getting south of the equator!
worst offensive game of the season?
No, that was probably against the Ravens, but against the Ravens it’s understandable.
Ok,
This is it. We are only down a point. We have to kill the Texans this qtr. Or just score.
VY?
We obviously need to do something. Seems like our offense hasn’t achieved anything the entire game. And KC has been less than stellar today.
3rd and forever
well said, mike
If I hit a hole-in-one on this grand slam the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate.
it would be stupid
to put VY in. It’s not that he can’t play, but Fisher is not going to set up a chance at a QB controversy this time of the season….it’s just not happening
Agree.
We’re going nowhere at the moment.
wth
WHY THE HELL R U pASSING TO MCCAREINS ON 3rD AND LONG???
holy shit
that is ridiculous

when they have passing downs on 3rd
They are protecting well – offensive line is doing a pretty good job.
This is a good team. A lot better than their record.
this is just
like ravens game all those stupid penalties
nothing is more frustrating right now. they dont want to win the game.
better hope the ravens handle the steelers because we are playing like crap now. kerry collins hasnt been playing well at all, he can’t win a game himself.
We still have much of the quarter left
But I the Titans have to show some life.
i doubt it
we haven’t showed life at all cept the end of the 1st half
Team needs a spark.
I know fish would never do it but Vince in some sort of wildcat could work here.
Not untill the playoffs at least.
Given how effective it’s been for Miami, and with a guy like Young on the bench, you’d have to be crazily stubborn not to set it up.

It would be the second time we’ve beaten the Texans with nothing but a big pile of field goals.

it’s not a good call or a normal call, but he’s not a retard or idiot. he’s the best coach in the nfl. he took a chance and it didn’t work

Titans Deserve to Lose
They played a horrible game – horrible coaching at the end. It makes no sense in any argument to not kick the field goal there. Playing like this, we will stumble into the playoffs and lose in the first round. Pathetic game, nothing else to say.
Talking heads are gonna kill Fish this week
I would’ve preferred that he kick it, but if Collins converts then we’d be talking differently.
I still don’t see why Collins goes deep.
welcome to the apocalypse
we all know what this d looks like w/o AH. it would be the bullet dodging of the century if he isn’t out for the season after his knee went like that. im inconsolable.

Well, now we have to hope that Baltimore beats the Steelers
And then we have to step up against them at home next week.
good win for the texans
hopefully haynesworth back before playoffs.
biggest concern is the offense being so off kilter. fisher will get the playcalling mojo back. heck, maybe heimerdinger got a wild hair and talked him into that one.
Texans are a hot team and have nothing to lose. I’ll be more concerned about playoff chances if Pittsburgh rolls over us next week.
Inexplicable
call by Fisher… Thank God he’s our coach, but that was a ridiculous decision…
Kick the Freakin FG and put it on the D, not Collins who was shitty all day
by Big Bad Bulluck on Dec 14, 2008 3:21 PM CST reply actions
just don't get it
pro-bowl kicker who kicked 51 yarder already in the game
vs.
QB and WR who doesn’t even complete 50% of the pass
I hated the game today
IT is gut churning that Fisher decided to go for the TD instead of 3. Collins has played poorly all day and did he think he would suddenly throw a beautiful pass when his game was off? That was the dumbest call of the YEAR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t question what Fisher does usually but this one real was boneheaded.
Joy Kat
I dont understand
He has lived on FG for his coaching life. WHY
Then Haynesworth got hurt
Man, I hope he recovers fast, because the TItans are sunk without him.
Joy Kat
Not only that call
But not getting the ball to Johnson enough in addition
by Big Bad Bulluck on Dec 14, 2008 3:25 PM CST reply actions
2 things should be 3 things

by Big Bad Bulluck on Dec 14, 2008 3:25 PM CST reply actions
It was interesting to see Simms on the bench with Heimerdinger going over things instead of VY
What is up with that?
Joy Kat
I think it's the Haynesworth injury that really bugs people.
The loss only hurts because it was so close and there was a pretty clear alternative to our decision.
~Till the Halo burns out...
seeing how bad our offense was against a horrible defense
imagine next week against the steelers.
i can’t see up topping 100 yards total offense
Collins was on one side and Simms on the other, VY was nowhere to be seen?
Anyone know anything?
Joy Kat
Unless someone on this board has an inside track to the Titans bench
it’s an unanswerable question. Whether or not it is legitimate depends on whether one believes it matters what Young was doing at that moment.
I wouldn’t be too surprised if Young doesn’t have the same gameplan that Collins does. His skillset is too different to try and fit them both into the exact same scheme. Thus the person most likely to be able to give good comments on the plays Collins makes is Sims.
~Till the Halo burns out...
The biggest thing is we have a bye already
Sure, it will be great to have home field advantage throughout…but if we aren’t the number one seed….then we will more than likely avoid the Colts until the AFC Championship. i am more scared of the Colts than anyone. We still control our own destiny. Let’s just hope Haynesworth is OK. It was a bad decision by Fisher, but our defense still couldn’t stop them at the end.
Colts?!?!
They could barely handle the Lions. I’d play them with a handicap down 14 at the beginning of the game instead of the steelers or ravens. We can’t move the ball against a good defense, cant even run it against one.
When Collins is off, we can't even move the ball against a BAD defense.
As demonstrated by the game today.
~Till the Halo burns out...
Ypung was
shown on the sideline talking to the coaches. Appreently looking at the pictures didn’t do much good.
A bye
does not help bad WR and bad throws.
They left the running game to early.
OK, thank you
I seen him on the sidelines as well, I just thought it was odd that Simms and Collins were discussing things and VY wasn’t . I thought VYwas the 2nd guy. I found that strange. THAT IS ALL NVEMP
Joy Kat
and what exactly would vince
bring to a conversation w/ dinger and KC. if had anything to contribute he might be playing instead of watching
LETS GET OUR HEADS UP BECAUSE
SOMETHING POSITIVE MIGHT COME FROM THIS. MAYBE WE’LL BE MORE FIRED UP FOR PITTSBURG NEXT WEEK AND MAYBE K. C. WILL BE DETERMINED TO REDEEM HIMSELF. IF WE GOTTA DROP ONE BETTER THIS ONE THAN THAT ONE.
JEFF FISHER FOR PRESIDENT
we are just waiting to lose in the palayoffs
unless haynesworth’s knee is a lot better than it looked
I am here
Been taking care of my son today so it has been a little hard to type stuff.
Titans Blogger at Music City Miracles even though gramsey hates it.
Haynesworth's injury looked really bad. He could barely walk.
Tom Brady was walking much better and he’s gone 8 months. I’m really scared, if this is real bad, we might not want to resign him next year and another dumb team would throw tons of money at him still.
Oh yea…
WHAT WERE YOU THINKING FISHER?!?!
BEST PLAYER ON THE TITANS TODAY WAS BIRONAS AND YOU PUT THE GAME INTO THE HANDS OF THE WORST PLAYER, COLLINS?!?! I LOVE YOU FISH, AND STILL DO, BUT I CANT WAIT TO HEAR YOU TRY TO REASON FOR THIS DECISION.
The story was probably that 3 points wouldn't be enough.
He trusted the defense to hold the Texans to a field goal, but not to stop them.
~Till the Halo burns out...
This was the WORST game of the year by far.
Collins played bad, the defense played poorly at times and the worst thing is that Hayensworth may have a serious knee issue.
Joy Kat
They weren't very good either.
Johnson hurt us, but we gave up a bunch of stupid penalties, and some big 3rd downs where we could have come up with the stop.
~Till the Halo burns out...
On a different note though, congrats to the Texans.
They look like they have a great team. Titans defense still played fantastic only giving up 13 points, especially with the stupid 15 yard penalties and 200+ yards by Johnson. This Texan offense has been playing as well as anyone else, so we can hold the steelers to 13 points as well, just can’t turn it over and we need quality drives on offense.
Houston is a new force to be reckoned with in the AFC South. But we are still better.
Realistically
It’s 16 points since we can’t really expect the Steelers to miss a field goal from 30 yards.
~Till the Halo burns out...
Fisher went for three at the end of the half, he should have tried
for the TD and then at the end he went for the TD. Completely blew me away.
I am just mystified by those decisions.
Joy Kat
collins sucked today, whats the point of giving him a chance to screw up another scoring chance.
the texans gave us those points with the penalty and we had to take them
Personally, I still go back to the 3 and inches call.
With maybe an inch or two to go, why not have Collins sneak it? Or if you don’t trust Collins, bring in Vince for one play and sneak it. Handing it off just gives them too much time.
~Till the Halo burns out...
The Titans are still
12-2.
The Steelers will lose today to the Ravens.
Fisher
He said in postgame that the wind was strong and it was out of Bironas’s range. That was the basis for his decision.
i was there...just got back...
the wind wasn’t too strong….no one in the stadium knew why he didn’t kick it
I don't know
He said they measured it before the game and it was out of Rob’s range. Actually he said “well out of Rob’s range” I am a huge Fisher fan and will continue to be. I think he is an excellent coach. However, I did not believe him when he said that.
Also I agree with titanbt53 below…that was a low percentage play call (especially since it was going to McCareins!!!)
by DonFrancisco on Dec 14, 2008 4:01 PM CST up reply actions
even PK is baffled....
he too said it was only slight breeze…
it would have been 49 yards……
stupid decision
also not sneaking it on the previous drive was also stupid….in fact, half the offensive plays were stupid…..is norm chow our O-coordinator again?
Maybe
I wish they would figure out that those plays to Lendale do not work. I was with one of my brother-in-laws and he said before the snap" Hand off to Lendale for a two yard loss"
by DonFrancisco on Dec 14, 2008 4:10 PM CST up reply actions
watch the fisher show and root for the ravens...
That’s really all you can do. . . Call has been made – there’s probably not a great reason, but at least fisher will admit it when he makes bad calls. Give him a chance to explain it and focus on next week…
actually, he didn't admit it at all
rob hit from 60 once, 51 already today, and no one seemed to think the wind was too strong but fisher.
51
The 51 yarder was the other direction.
I dont believe Fisher about the wind. However, if it was too strong to kick a 49 yarder on way then it must have been pretty strong. Therefore, the 51 yarder the other direction would be easier. So, saying that he kicked a 51 yarder earlier when it was the other direction is not a very good argument.
by DonFrancisco on Dec 14, 2008 4:28 PM CST up reply actions
Okay, if that is the case, then...
What was up with that play call. Deep pass to McCareins?? Get Scaife involved again, a short pass to CJ or Hall, anything but deep!!
12 and 2 that is the bottom line
This one would not hurt as much if the Texans just rolled over us. But to have the win blown by a dumb decision is just awful.
Joy Kat
if all you want is a pretty regular season record, then yes
if you want to win a playoff game, there is no way to not be horrified by what we watched today.
Kudos on a tough, physical game. You guys held our great offense in check, and we did just enough to beat your great defense.
I’m not going to talk noise – you guys are 12 and freaking 2. Hopefully next year our later-season game will have playoff implications for BOTH of us.
