Congratulations, Titans Fans!
I meant to get over here sooner this week, but you know how that goes...
Congratulations on clinching the South. Your team is very solid this season. Fisher is one of the greatest coaches in the NFL. The Titans earned it big time.
It has been a long time since we (Colts fans) haven't claimed that prize, and everyone in the media thought that the Jags would be the ones to wrest it from us. Congratulations again.
I don't know where our respective teams will be in record when we meet on week 17, but here's to healthy rosters (for the sake of the playoffs) and some great football that week and through the playoffs!

And thanks for signing Corey Simon last year
That supplied a good two weeks of laughter.

Here is some constructive discussion material
Why do you think Mookie has been good in your system when the Titans couldn’t find a place for him?
Personally, I didn’t understand why the Titans didn’t get him on the roster because he had a good preseason, but I figure Jeff Fisher, Jim Schwartz and Jim Washburn know better than me.

Answer
From what you told me Jimmy back in preseason, the Titans were pretty loaded at DT. They seemed high on Mookie, but just didn’t have a place in the rotation because guys like Haynesworth played in front of him.

I don't remember what I said,
but now I just don’t understand keeping Vickerson over Mookie, especially with the success he has had with the Colts.

Where would you play him though?
He’s a NT, and isn’t Albert Haynesworth your NT?

The Titans rotate defensive lineman like crazy
throughout the course of a game. He would have gotten a significant number of plays especially when Jason Jones was hurt for a couple of weeks.

Well, he was on the practice squad
That must have meant the Titans felt other positions needed more depth. They are also carrying three QBs, which takes active depth away from areas like DT.

They only had 2 when they
put him on the practice squad.

But
When they had three, they still couldn’t take him off. Who do you cut in order to make room for Mookie? Vince Young?

Practice Squad
Off the practice squad, that it. You must cut someone from the active roster to activate someone from PS.

Jimmy,
I have been very surprised by Mookie. I’m not shocked when I see Polian sign an undrafted free agent like Ed Johnson, because that is Polian. But to sign him off another team’s practice squad, especially one that is extremely well coached, well I’ve just been surprised watching him play.
I think every team lets the wrong guy slip away on occasion. I don’t want to think about a couple of times we did that.

the titans are basically d-line factory
last year being the obvious example with laboy and odom signing away for big dollars. jim washburn is one of the best there is when it comes to line coaching. between washburn on D and mike munchak on o, no one has 2 better line coaches than the titans.
odom
laboy
kearse- a true force of nature in his sadly injury shortened prime
haynesworth
KVB
john thorton
robaire smith
kevin carter is a guy who was really good b4 tennessee, but made the jump to super hero as a titan. i still remember his last year with the titans when we had an unbelievable injury filled season, carter was playing on a bad knee at both DE and DT. we were down to so few players that he just never came out of the game for several games in a row. they subbed other people in by moving him from spot to spot on the line.
even now, tony brown is turning out to be quite a player. dave ball too, esp. considering that he was a complete zero statistically prior to tennessee. even our rookie hayes has shown flashes.

Most Titans fans do have civil and interesting conversations 90% of the time, imo.
