Any questions for Pride of Detroit?
Just as Jimmy did over on my site, I'm coming over to Music City Miracles from Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions blog, to answer any questions you have about my lowly Lions.
Just a heads up, the Lions' injury report is going to be bigger than usual for this game due to it being on Thursday. A couple QBs, the starting RB, possibly both starting DE, etc., may not play. It could be uglier than usual.

What's the best thing about your team right now?

The best thing about this team is that their season is over in only five more weeks.
On a more serious note, I would say it’s kicker Jason Hanson or wide receiver Calvin Johnson. Hanson is as good as he has ever been and actually nailed a 56-yard field goal a couple weeks ago. Calvin Johnson is the one that is making Daunte Culpepper’s numbers somewhat decent. Culpepper basically lobs passes downfield and hopes that Johnson will win the jump ball, which he does most of the time.

You've gotta be happy that ...
….“The Franchise Killer” (aka Millen) is gone. Things could really start turning around for you guys. You think it’s possible that the front office is completely cleaned out following the season or are the Fords more concerned with the auto industry at present?
The PAIN TRAIN is comin baby!

If I'm the Fords, I'm thinking seriously about making the Lions as profitable as I possibly can.

I wish that the Lions would clean house, but I have a bad feeling that they will keep people that should be fired. My only hope is that a competent GM is hired.

You guys
(meaning long time Lions fans) should all be awarded Purple Hearts or something from the NFL.

Should the Coach go?
I know that Coach Rod Marinelli is well respected for helping start the Tampa 2 defense, but one thing just as a Titans fan on the outside I noticed is the poor handling of rookie RB Kevin Smith. He seems to be a good player and I just couldn’t understand why the Coach was so bent on getting has been RB Rudi Johnson so many touches early in the year. It has only been here recently that Smith has gotten the ball in a steady dose. It seems that if the Coach had commited to Smith early in the year that the Lions may have at least one win if not two. Do you think the Coach stays on after this year? And do you think he should stay on after this year?

If Marinelli is the coach after this debacle of a season, I would seriously consider stop cheering for the Lions
A new GM probably means a new coach, but if something happens where the current GM, Martin Mayhew, keeps his job, then I guess Marinelli could potentially stay.

Floyd Reese?
There have been several rumors about ex-Titan GM Floyd Reese taking the same position with the Lions next season. How hot are the rumors up there? I personally think Floyd can turn the Lions around if given the opportunity. What do you think?

He's been mentioned only by himself really...
He did a couple interviews with a local paper and talked about how good of a job it is and stuff like that. I think he’d be a good hire, but we’ll see if anything develops with him.

Hmm...
Maybe they could poison the TItans’ Gatorade supply or try to get a new rule passed that opposing teams have to play with less than 11 players. Then again, the opposing team would still probably win.

So
you don’t think you have any realistic shot of winning?

If they weren't so injured, the thought would creep into my mind
However, Kevin Smith won’t even play. If Culpepper goes down we’ll see Drew Henson, who was just signed off the practice squad. Even when this team gets ahead and makes you think they can win they find ways to screw it up.
Against Tampa Bay on Sunday they led 17-0 after one quarter. At halftime, Tampa led 21-17.

so are you resigned to 0-16?
your schedule down the stretch doesn’t look promising. actually it’s pretty brutal… every team is in playoff contention

I want to believe they will luck out and win a game
But they just don’t know how to win.

What is the Lions' biggest need area?
D-Line? LBers?

That's a tough one
But I’d say the Lions needing a better o-line on offense and a better secondary on defense.
