The Tennessee Titans have had great success this year with the Fisher formula. The Fisher formula is running the ball, playing physical defense and controlling the clock. The Titans won at least eight games this year sticking to that formula. The last two or three games teams have crowded the line of scrimmage and dared QB Kerry Collins to beat them and he has. Today it seems to me that the Titans got pass happy. It looked as if the Titans looked to pass first, not typical of a Jeff Fisher coached football team. The Titans did not run the ball hardly at all and the weak Wide Receiver core dropped several passes. As a result, the Titans lost the time of possession battle badly. The poor time of possession also helped magnify the poor depth at cornerback as 5th stringer Chris Carr was beat badly and commited several penalties. Now that the Titans have lost their first game of the year, I hope they get back to the Fisher formula - physical defense, control the clock and run, run, run.
