Jets @ Titans Second Half Open Game Thread

Well another rough first half.  The Titans have been excellent at making adjustments all season long.  Let's hope today is no exception.

yes

this is no the offense. you cant expect the defense to play well when they have been on the field the whole game

by Jimmy on Nov 23, 2008 2:06 PM CST up reply actions

I said half the reason.

The other half was that it was close enough to challenge, and a big enough gain to be worth the risk.

not happening

I don’t see them taking any chances.

by NotMyForte on Nov 23, 2008 2:05 PM CST reply actions

The 10-0 is starting to look a little phony

Here come all the “I told you so’s” from analysts. We haven’t even been competitive in this game up until this point.

by NotMyForte on Nov 23, 2008 2:06 PM CST reply actions

Because of 1 game it looks phony?

That is ridiculous

Titans Blogger at Music City Miracles even though gramsey hates it.

by Jimmy on Nov 23, 2008 2:08 PM CST up reply actions

well

someone needs to be impressed we need to lose the one that dont count

by jaketitan427 on Nov 23, 2008 2:07 PM CST reply actions

IT'S ONLY ONE GAME

That, by the way, isn’t over yet. The defense sucks because they have been on the field all day because the offense isn’t having a good day. However, if the defense could come up with a 3rd down stop they would be off the field. The execution has been horrible on offense. The good thing is, it’s just one game.

by gotitans27 on Nov 23, 2008 2:08 PM CST reply actions

if the pat could have lost 1 reg season game

they would have been greatful to win the superbowl

by jaketitan427 on Nov 23, 2008 2:08 PM CST reply actions

i don't mind a loss

if it happens here, which looks like it’s gonna.

I just don’t like looking thoroughly outclassed this late in the season. Doesn’t bode well for being the AFC champion if they’re not in the same league as the jets.

by numbertenox on Nov 23, 2008 2:09 PM CST up reply actions

I will say that this is the game

I have been worried about the offense having

Titans Blogger at Music City Miracles even though gramsey hates it.

by Jimmy on Nov 23, 2008 2:09 PM CST reply actions

I get that it's one game

But this has been an all around bad display by our team. And I’m just saying, all we will hear all week is “I told you so” from all the anylsts who have been waiting for us to lose a game.

And it’s pretty much over.

by NotMyForte on Nov 23, 2008 2:09 PM CST reply actions

How many teams haven't looked bad in one game this season?

Are the Giants phony because they got beat by the Browns?

by Lovejoy on Nov 23, 2008 2:13 PM CST up reply actions

but im so maddddd

blood preasure rising, palms sweaty, i think i need some french fries

by jaketitan427 on Nov 23, 2008 2:10 PM CST reply actions

what worries me is...

will this give other teams a blueprint on how to beat our defense

by gotitans27 on Nov 23, 2008 2:10 PM CST reply actions

NEED A STOP

have to stop them here. Have to to stay in it at all

by NotMyForte on Nov 23, 2008 2:10 PM CST reply actions

Way to back them up.

One more time guys.

The Perfect Cure For A Loss Like This

Is a Thanksgiving Day game against the Detroit Lions…

by NotMyForte on Nov 23, 2008 2:12 PM CST reply actions

unlikely

to happen, but it’s still not out of reach if the offense could just put together a scoring drive, give the defense something to hope for and some rest. At least show some life against a team we may see again in post-season.

by numbertenox on Nov 23, 2008 2:13 PM CST reply actions

Well, it ain't over yet.

What we have now is an opportunity for Fisher to use some of those Vince packages he’s been hinting at.

i said last week

that that was huge win because the jets would be very tough. had we lost last week ,we would just be a game up right now in the afc. the jets are good, but so are the Titans…just a bad day.

by gotitans27 on Nov 23, 2008 2:33 PM CST reply actions

Ah well

10-1. They came out super flat today against a team you can’t be flat against. Secondary injuries don’t explain the offensive lack of performance.

Hopefully they will gain some confidence back in remaining games.

by numbertenox on Nov 23, 2008 2:33 PM CST reply actions

that was a great catch

gage is really showing some stuff lately

Dunno that the Titans have ever done it though.

Just saying that a 10-0 team should not get dominated like this, by anyone. Calm down folks, LOL.

ill never say its over

just talking on what i see,and what i see now is a thorn in our ass and its called the jets, the titans could!!!!! come back but not likley,,our defense would have to drink some of the same crunk juice that our offense is drinking now

good to see him get a TD after that goal-line fumble.

With the exception of the Washington run, they haven’t been able to run the ball much and have thrown it all over the field.

the first one was ok, that one was crap. if the offensive player sticks his arm into you to separate, isn’t that offensive pass interference?

by numbertenox on Nov 23, 2008 2:53 PM CST reply actions

Ok, it's done

I pity Detroit next week. Err, I mean this Thursday.

by Rustmeister on Nov 23, 2008 2:56 PM CST reply actions

yes please

losing to detroit after this would be a lot to take. of course, if your plan is to go into the playoffs with no one taking you seriously, that would sure do it.

by numbertenox on Nov 23, 2008 2:58 PM CST up reply actions

just pile on the ass whooping

the more this loss hurts, the more motivation for the rest of the season. this team needed a big time wake up call and hopefully this is it. nothing like getting embarrassed to get people back to work. we have been slipping by on good 1 or 2 quarter performances and that won’t cut it in the playoffs. i hope we get the hard working, no hype titans back after this week.

by hal41605 on Nov 23, 2008 2:59 PM CST reply actions

This game was disappointing

but as always, a defeat can be used as motivation. The Jets are a good team, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them again in the playoffs. Hopefully, we’ll have Harper back by then.

~Till the Halo burns out...

by Zu Long on Nov 23, 2008 3:04 PM CST reply actions

OK, Titans...

forget today. Prepare to feast on Detroit on Thursday. Go to 11-1.

by GingerSnapsTN on Nov 23, 2008 3:04 PM CST reply actions

Got

to give it to the Jets, they spanked us today, great methodical play calling and everything. Our receivers killed us, the entire game. I thought Chris Carr had some iffy calls there at the end. We’re still 10-1 - GO TITANS!

by RhiNo6705 on Nov 23, 2008 3:12 PM CST reply actions

IF WE HAD TO LOSE ONE

THE TIME IS NOW AND GET IT OVER WITH. AS JIM NANTZ POINTED OUT THERE IS A POSSIBILITY OF US PLAYING THE JETS IN THE PLAY OFFS AT TENN AND THERE WILL BE ALOT LEARNED FROM THIS EXPERIENCE. SO THIS COULD BE A BLESSING IN DISGUISE. I THINK WE WOULD BE BETTER PREPARED FOR THE SHORT PASS NEXT TIME.
