The cornerback question
A lot has been made the past couple days about our depleted ranks at corner. Well as we all knew Jeff and his staff would eventually make a move to cover the situation. The Titans have signed Tyrone Poole and moved up Tuff Harris from the practice squad. In order to accomodate the new DBs Eric King and Rey Hill (awww darn) will be headed to IR.

Obviously the right move there, but it's too bad for Eric King.
I doubt Rey Hill will be on the team next year.

Anybody know anything about Tuff Harris?
I thought I read that Cary Williams was doing well in Practice? Not well enough to get moved up?

Don't forget Griffin could play corner in a pinch
And the Titans could slide Calvin Lowry into Griff’s safety spot – Oh wait the Titans cut the now starting free safety for Denver in training camp. Love the Titans but I questioned the move at the time (We carried 4 Tight Ends on the roster at that time) and I’m sure the Titans could really use him right now.

think you're getting him confused
with somebody else. I’ve watched Lowry in a three or four of Denver’s games this season, and I don’t remember him looking very good. Tyrone Poole looks like he has moved around a ton during his long career. Here’s hoping Chris will continue to improve and we won’t need to see these guys on the field while Harper is healing.

Lowry
I was serious about Lowry when he was released, but now it is kind of a tongue in cheek thing. I couldn’t resist this opportunity.

An old friend
I do believe our old buddy Andre Dyson failed to catch on with a team this past off season. Other than that the pickings are pretty slim. As evidenced by the Raiders recently signing former Titan Michael Waddell.

Here are the best available CBs on the street
according to Adam Caplan at Scout.com:
Cornerback:
Andre Dyson – If healthy, Dyson could land a job as a nickel back.
Kenny Wright – Legal woes cost him a job with the Cleveland Browns.
Kelly Herndon – He could come in and handle a nickel role for a team.
Fred Thomas – Older cornerback who could play in a dime role.
Roc Alexander – Versatile defender who fits best in a dime defense.
Dexter Wynn (KR/PR) – He fits in as a dime back.
Chidi Iwuoma – He’s primarily a special teams player but a good one in that role.
Where I was raised 2 + 2 = 3rd and 6.

I wish that people called me Tuff.

Yeah...
… unfortunately, this play was during an attempted punt return by the Bucs before a fair catch signal. :)
