Why the Hawk don't fly yet.
Hey guys,
Here's a good article at the Tennessean about Hawkins. I pretty impressed about the job Wyatt did in this one. He goes into detail about Hawk's development and why he hasn't made it to the field yet.

I need more words, so I will say that I am real excited about Hawk. I think he will turn out to be a real good reciever.

That will do it.
Making mistakes in practice should keep him out of the game.

Sometimes knowing is half the battle...
really wish they’d have written something like this on Paul Williams last year. We never get a chance to hear why a guy isn’t playing, and it’s a little comforting to know why he hasn’t seen the field.
Let remember, ‘Dinger has a reputation for being hard on QBs, but absolutely brutal on WRs. I know I’ve heard McCairens, Mason and Bennett all say in radio interviews that they nearly walked at certain points because they felt like they couldn’t handle it… and those guys were actually good.

Funny how you can talk about McCareins being good back in the day...
…and it’s like you’re talking about a completely different guy.

The guy got a raw deal. I truly believe that.

Professionalism
I don’t understand the brutality of Dinger sometimes – Look at our boy VY – he was a locker room guy at Texas …. NO QUESTION – remember him dancing and singing and all that goofy stuff at the championship – he was the heart and soul of that team … we saw glimpses of that same thing in his first couple of seasons – but now it is all “professionalism” …. I understand that you need to act like a pro – but I think that sometimes this stuff can be good for a team … bring some togetherness to the squad, On the defensive side of the ball ..hahah .. i think its all business tho – and I can’t say that I don’t like it ….
