Adam Pacman Jones Suspended "At Least" 4 Games
ESPN.com is reporting that Adam Jones has been suspended for at least 4 games following his incident last week with his bodyguard. Roger Goodell will use those 4 games to gather all of the facts and decide if a longer suspension is fitting:
In announcing his decision, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Jones' "disturbing pattern of behavior was clearly inconsistent with the conditions I set for your continued participation in the NFL."
The only reason we are talking about this is because it is probably going to cost the Titans a pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
[UPDATE]- Per Jim Wyatt on 104.5, the Titans will now have to send a 5th round pick to the Cowboys in next year's draft. Adam screw us again.

To me it's worth it
I’m fine losing the pick. That should close the book on this fiasco and that numb nutted fool. Hopefully we’ll never have to speak of him or think of him again.

we lose. It will just be one less player we have to cut.

Since it is a 5th round and not a 1st
probably more likely a Pro Bowler. August and I were discussing this earlier, the Titans first draft picks between Fat Albert and Griffin are Woolfolk, Troupe (2nd round 1st pick of that draft), Adam and VY. Success rate there?

I wish
they’d just admit they aren’t hot on the 1st round picks and trade down every year. If you suck at picking, go with the quantity approach and collect more picks.

Different GM now.
Reese sucked at 1st round picks. Rheiny seems to have it down.
But… Reese was very good in the later rounds. Last year’s draft, minus Griff, is very much an open question. Granted, Ford seems to be coming on, but those WRs were all brutal picks.

I am not yet convinced
That all of our young WRs are busts. Paul Williams certainly seems to be but the coaches (even Dinger) seem to see something there. Also, Chris Davis seems to be hanging around and made a very nice play during the Ravens game. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of our WR problems were Chow related.

HA
I came to this thread to say the same thing, Jimmy.
Now that you said it first, I agree. We find so much of our talent from the deep rounds of the draft and, to be honest, I kind of like that. You tend to get better rounded and more humble (aka, not #32) type of guys from those rounds and the lesser known schools.

Well, we knew this was a possiblity when the trade happened, and obviously Jerry Jones knew it was a possibility, that’s why he wanted to have the conditions in the trade.

At least we didn't have to just cut him outright and get nothing.
Or something like that.
I hope he enjoys sitting at home watching the Titans, you know Adam, that team that is better without you?

The only thing that really upsets me...
Is that I am gonna be in Dallas in two weeks to watch them play the Bucs. I was hoping to throw eggs at Jones.

i was sneaking waching the cowboys play
so i could watch pacman to see what we where missing or not missing and to tell you the truth he sucked. his punt returns were not that great and his coverage was so so at best. it looked to me like he was kind of apprehensive to hit the oppsing players unlike finnigan. i came to the conclusion we were better without him.
now iam glad hes gone and we will never have to see him again and wonder what could have been if he was a decent person and didnt get into so much trouble.
bye bye pacman the blue monster of the real pacman game finally got you. game over! and guess what your out of quarters ha ha ha.

me too.
he may have just been rusty, but he looked like the Pac I remember (who racked up penalties and bitched at other DBs every time he got torched) more so than the stud that played well for about 3 games in 2006.

can't stand pacman
but a 4 game suspension for getting into mild fisticuffs with your bodyguard at a party seems awfully harsh. of course, it’s his 957th incident since arriving in the NFL, so there is that. Too bad about the pick, though.

I heard Mike Keith on the radio today say that we drafted Lavelle Hawkins with the draft pick from Dallas.
Once he gets on the field, it will be obvious that we won.

you can take pac outta the hood, but you cant take the hood outta pac
I think we may have seen the end of #32.
We got a 4th from the cowboys for pac which we drafted hawk with.
Now we have to send the cowboys a 5th, If pac played all season without getting suspended we would have got an additional 6th rounder.
so now instead of getting a 6th we have to give up a 5th. Big difference.
Basically we traded #32 for Hawkins and a 5th Rounder

so long as the hawk
