This will be an ugly game in which neither team passes for over 200 yards.  The Titans will win on Rob Bironas field goal with less than 4:00 left in the game.  The Chargers will move the ball after that, but Michael Griffin will pick a pass intended for Antonio Gates to ice the game.

I'm breaking your superstition by doing this cuz I didn't do it last week. But I'm not really superstitious so the hell with it.

The Chargers win the toss and go 3 and out. We drive down the field and Ben Troupe scores on a TE screen for 13 yards. Not much else in the 1st half. Rivers and Vince exchange a turnovers 1 time leading the Chargers to a field goal. 7-3 at the half.

We get the 2nd half kick off and after 1 first down Lendale White fumbles. L.T. breaks off a 34 yard run. 10-7 S.D. Chris Henry returns the kick off back to the 50. Mostly running the ball and Vince hitting  Hartstock with a pass that takes us down to the 5, Lendale gets a small gain to the 3, and then a no gain. Vince throws it away, and we come away with 3. 10-10. Chargers 3 and out. Titans 3 and out, Rivers dumps the ball to L.T. most of the way up the field before hitting gates with a 23 yard TD over the middle. 17-10 Chargers at the end of 3rd.

Henry opens the 4th quarter by returning the kick to the 28. Vince hits Gage with a 40 yard pass up the sideline. Lendale has a couple nice runs. Vince breaks a run down to the 10, Lendale carries 2x and punches it in 17-17. Turner returns it to the 30, we exchange 3 and outs.

SD ball with 3:05 on the clock, Rivers dumps to L.T. a couple of times they get a 1st, Couple of short passes another 1st to the 50 with 1:40 left we look doomed. Rivers throws a corner route intended for Gates and Griffin picks it off.

We struggle on the 1st 2 downs 2 incompletions. On 3rd down Vince moves up in the pocket and hits Gage with a 12 yard gain coming back to the ball on the sideline, 1st down at the S.D. 49. 38 seconds left,  Vince scrambles out of bounds for a gain of 5 to the S.D. 44.  Vince hits Biren Ealy for 4 yards on slant.  3rd down and 1 with 29 seconds left Vince hands to Lendale for a gain of 2. The Titans spike the ball.

With 12 seconds left Bironas bangs a 55 yarder with 3 yards to spare.

Man its hard doing the clock and commentating, I quit.

Vince Young has a terrific game, rushing for one TD.  He throws a grand total of 10 pases the whole game.  Afterwards Merril Hoge still says that Collins should have started.  LenDale White rushes for 130 yards.  Chris Brown gains another 40.  He has another 40 yards receiving.

Phillip Rivers is knocked out of the game in the 2nd.  After that, the Chargers are anemic on offense behind Billy Volek.  LT finally gets into the End Zone in the 4th.  But this time, CBS has the field blanketed with cameras, and more to the point, the refs call holding when the Chargers' O-Line is holding.

The game breaker comes when the game is tight in the fourth.  LenDale White runs twice for 6 yards.  On the next play, Chris Henry comes in and breaks off a 45 yard run to the End Zone.  It's the back breaker.

Does anyone remember what our beloved QB did the last time the entire world was picking against him in a big game? I think VY is just made differently than anyone else. His best games come when the spotlight is on. Both times this year on Monday night he had a great game. If not for the Injury against the Colts last week he was going to have his best passing game ever IMO. I just have a lot of faith in him, reguardless of the ups and downs this season brought. We brought him here for this type of game. I say VY proves everyone wrong (AGAIN) and the Titans win by 14 like they should have last game!

What has been sorely missing from this season is Vince dancing.  Remember the way V used to dance before the game or after a score last year?  You Orangebloods will remember that during V's years at UT, he never quit dancing.  In fact, much was made of V getting Mack Brown to loosen up and listen to some music.  V actually convinced Mack to allow music in the locker room before games.  

When V is loose and dancing, he is unstoppable.  So, why no dancing this year?  Hard to tell, but I think V has quit feeling the game and hearing the music (rythm of the game).  I think he is too much into the head part of the game and not letting things flow based on his feel of the game and his instincts.

Well, I think V hears the music again for this one and he elevates his game and the others around him.  Look for Ealy to have a knockout game.  Troupe scores twice and Lendale shows the world that he has the power and strength to pound the ball against the best.

As for the Chargers......Rivers is out by halftime, LT has a super meltdown because Volek can't do anything right, and Merriman has his usual game of a couple sacks and some tough D.  Gates gets some throws but never gets into a rythm, and Chambers is largely ineffective.  The Chargers get frustrated because they can't move the ball, and the little voices in the back of their minds reminding them that they can't win a playoff game starts getting louder and louder (Oops! That will be me yelling that from the stands).  They believe it and play accordingly.

Titans big.  31-17

All this comes true if Vince dances.  If he doesn't, well, I hope he can hear the music next year.

Dance Vince.  Dance.

I think this will be a close game which might go to overtime.

Bironas and the defense will win it for us.

Titans win. 13-10.
