Bad Behavior and a Double Standard?

Think Mike Vick will get a big suspension over all the stuff he's been going through this year?

Investigations on him concerning cock fighting and dog fighting.

Drug charges and a dog fighting mill in Virginia.

The "secret compartment" watter bottle that smelled like dope.

Eight games? The whole season?

If he doesn't, is there a double standard?

He didn't really commit...

any crime. The dog fighting mill he owned yet he did not visit nor contribute towards. The water bottle they dismissed and said the substance wasn't marijuana. I doubt he'll get anything and rightfully so.

i disagree

the more that comes out over the dog-fighting thing, the more it is apparent that Vick is guilty...

-many witnesses say he visits there regularly...buying dog stuff and dog fighting stuff at local stores
-he owns the property...those dog facilities and dogs did not buy themselves

IMO, this dog-fighting thing is going to cost Vick half the season...

I agree---this thing has guilty written all over it, but I bet Vick doesn't sit a single game. Although I would like to put Vick in a cage and whip his a$$ (I hate people who abuse dogs), but until Goodell shows me otherwise, he ain't taking down someone as big as Vick. A Titans cornerback was one thing, but the Falcons quarterback and one of the most popular players in the league is another. Dadgum double standard.

But maybe I am wrong. I hope so.

I was discussing this on draft day with our beloved website moderator and one of our friends who is a Falcons fan. We all came to the conclusion that is Vick had done what Pacman has done, he would not be suspended a full season. I decided any player that had been on the cover of Madden and is viewed as a major marketing guy for the NFL is not going to be treated the same.
Pacman came into the league with a poor reputation and had always been viewed as a negative for the league despite his ability on the field.

I want them to suspend Vick, that way Joey Harrington can lead the Falcons to the Super Bowl. I just don't want DJ Shockley to ever play because all of those idiot UGA fans start barking. Hey morons, he plays for the Falcons...not the gay Bulldogs.

When Peyton plays, do you hear fans singing Rocky Top? I think not. I am okay if UGA fans want DJ to do well because he played for UGA, but leave the barking to Vick's malnourished fighting dogs.

The UT fans

can't sing when Peyton is playing because they are to busy drooling. At least the UGA fans are still cheering for the hometown team when cheering for Shockley. The UT fans claim to be Titans and Colts fans. I wish all of those people would just go be Colts fans. We don't wan them. No man can serve two masters, Kayne.

Yes

I wasnt trying to say he wasnt. He deserves his every bit of his rep. From what I understand though he is actually a pretty nice guy. He has two major problems.
1. He is loyal to a fault. He cant get rid of the "boys"
2. He has a lot of money and no good place to spend it. (He can give it to me. I wont make it rain.)
