Need Some Nashville Expertice
Hey all,
Huge titans fan here from Toronto, last year saw the titans in buffalo, the year before in cleveland. This year I finally head to Nashville to see a home game!! I am going this Sunday vs. San Deigo with one of my best friends who just happens to be a chargers fan.
Flying in Saturday morning and heading out right after the game on sunday. I'm staying at Best Western downtown convention center on 711 union. Seems to be close enough to Broadway street which is where i hear all the action is. Is this a good location? can i walk to the game?
Was looking for some suggestions on restaurants in the area and also maybe some hotspots for saturday night. We're both 23 year old guys that love to drink and have some fun out on the town.
Also im gonna be in nashville all day saturday, is there anything i should see? where would be the closest place nearby that i could go to stock myself up with all sorts of titans gear that i cant get here in canada?
sorry for all the questions but im sooo excited for this been counting down the days for months and any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hope to get a few responses. GO TITANS!

oh one other thing....
great!
Sunday morning tailgating I'd recommend the Wild Horse Saloon downtown. Local sports show broadcasts from there and they have good drink specials and best I remember the buffet is free. It opens up at 10am on gamedays.
Basically your trip should be spent downtown and the only time you should have to take a cab is to get too and from the airport.
Go Titans!
Oh and kick your Chargers friend in the nuts for me.

its the one with the funky pattern all over print.
tailgating: read up on the wild horse saloon looks like a blast. how about the parking lot tailgates arouind the stadium? i know in buffalo thats the place to be. how are they in nashville?
Saturday Night: Anyone know where the big college student scene is? im sure theres a few big college clubs/bars downtown. im from toronto so unlike most there im not neccessarily searching for the live country music scene... although ill forsure check it out :)
Stuff
College/bar scene: The college scene isn't really downtown so much, it's a couple miles away. Not far driving, but not really within walking distance. There are some non-country bars downtown, though. I would recommend The Flying Saucer at 10th and Broadway (behind the Union Station Hotel) if you like beer - they have around 200 different beers on tap.

Hey man!
As a college age hell raiser myself, I suggest to anyone from out of town to check out Demonbreun Street. They are packed full of too-hot-to-touch women that make you get that funny feeling. They don't talk to people and they do bite which is awesome if you ask me.
Bars to check out on Demonbreun Street:
- On The Rocks
- Tin Roof
Alot of people from out of town like to go to the Opryland Hotel and check out the christmas lights thing they do this time of year. Search for it online and see if its your style or not.
Before the game, do not stay at the Wildhorse too long if you do go there. There are not too many places that are not fun on Sunday mornings, but the best place to be is (you guessed it) right there in the parking lot with the crazies (my kind of people). You'll be hard pressed to find a clan that wont accept you as long as you've stocked up on your Titans shwag and wear it loudly. They may even have pity on you and spot you your beer since you probably wont be dragging a cooler around! :)
I won't be at this weeks game, unfortunately.
Rock n roll, brother!
Demonbreun St
Do you want to walk from 7th and Union to the bars on Demonbreun St?
More importantly, do you want to walk back after drinking?
That really narrows the options, and I think Flying Saucer is his best bet within the constraints of: walking distance from 7th & Union; and not country-themed.
LOL
I just don't like being called an old fart when I'm still in my mid-20s. :)
haha well damn...
I say lets kick the chargers' ass this weekend! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Yes
thanks hartley.
i guess theres a contradicting report on if they actually sell that specific shirt so i will just check it out for myself when i get down there.
thanks so much for the replies guys. keep em coming, i will be checking the site frequently this week as i usually do.
Lucky you!
i also had ticket to this game but had to sell it since it didn't work out with my exam schedule (my exams ends next friday)
hope titans win this one !
I too will be going to my first Titans game...
one thing i definately want to know b4 i head up
but how is the parking lot tail gating before the game? is it near the stadium or on the other side of the water? and is it worth while? or should i stick to the bars downtown?
because i wouldn't mind hitting up the parking lots with my beer bong funnel and a 6 pack or 2
