Ryan Fowler Out for the Season

As gramsey said here, Ryan Fowler will miss the rest of the season due to a shoulder injury he suffered against the Chiefs last Sunday.  Fowler had played well in his first season with the Titans.  He finishes the season with 73 tackles.

This paves the way for Stephen Tulloch to start for the rest of the season.  Tulloch filled in well for Fowler on Sunday with 9 tackles.  I am excited that Tulloch is going to get his shot.  He played well last year when filling in for Peter Sirmon.  The knock on Tulloch last season was that he didn't know all of his assignments.  He should have a better understanding of the defense at this point.

The Titans moved Fowler to IR and signed Jorge Cordova to the active roster.  Cordova was a 3rd round pick by the Jaguars in 2004 but hasn't seen much action in the NFL.

It sounds like...
....it will be Pennington.

The Titans should have some picks!
At least that's what we can hope.  Because although Pennington is an accurate passer, his passes tend to float.  The guy is a terrific "gam manager" type QB, but he just doesn't have the gun for an arm that you need in the NFL, and the Jets running game hasn't been strong enough to force teams to bring their safeties up.

I like
the fact that Tulluch gets to start. I feel like he's better than Fowler. He made some big plays last year and hopefully he will be able to do the same these last two games.

FILE - In this Sept. 4, 2009 file photo, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Shaun Hill aims a pass downfield against the San Diego Chargers during the first quarter of an NFL preseason football game in San Diego. Hill earned the starting job for the 2009 season by beating out Alex Smith, who missed last season after re-injuring his surgically repaired throwing shoulder. Head coach Mike Singletary largely chose Hill based on his play down the stretch last year: he went 5-3 over the final eight games and he also owns a 5-0 record at home in Candlestick Park.
