Cowher Steps Down

Bill Cowher officially stepped down as the coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers today.  It is sad to see Cowher leave as he is a class act and personifies everything that is good about the NFL.  His record in 15 seasons was 149-90-1.  Obviously that is almost 10 wins per year.  That is pretty amazing in the parity that is today's NFL.

With the exit of Cowher, Jeff Fisher becomes the longest tenured head coach in the NFL with 13 years.

Check out Behind the Steel Curtain, the SB Nation Steelers Blog for info on the Steelers coaching search.
