Titans Playoff Chances with Scenarios

This site was posted in the comments but the link was a little bit wrong.  It gives the breakdown of the things that have to happen for the Titans to get in.  As you can see from case #2 it doesn't necessarily mean it is over if the Jets win tonight.  It makes things a little more likely if they do though.  It would be pretty funny if the Titans ended up playing the Patriots 2 weeks in a row which could happen.

I still haven't had a chance to watch the game all the way through but the most important thing right now are the playoff hopes.

Go FINS!!
Man, but this weekend has been great so far.

Baltimore gave us the best Christmas present we could have had, and nearly all the things we have needed to fall our way to make the playoffs have so far.

So now
the Titans need to win, the Chiefs to beat the Jags, the Steelers to beat the Bengals and the 49ers to beat the Broncos.  It's not impossible.

Well
The Titans Victory will be tough as it is, but we should be able to pull it out the way we have been playing.

The Cheifs CAN beat the Jags, but who knows.

The Steelers and the 49ers have nothing to play for, but maybe they will play hard in a "spoiler" role.

I dont feel great about where the titans are in regards to playoff posistion, it will really stink if we fall just short -- we are by far the hottest and most deserving football team in the league to make it in right now.

Either way, it's been a great year, a year I would have never expected.

Marathon's
I was at Marathon's Bar at Nipper's Corner in Nashville last night... and there was unhappiness in the crowd with that Jets win.  But considering that the NYJ angle required a New York loss next week to the hapless Oakland Raiders, it wasn't as hard of a hit to me as other fans.

A friend of mine who's a Broncos fan told me that he thinks there's no way that the 49ers are winning in Denver this upcoming weekend.  But, in the NFL, you never know what might happen...

I think
that is a long shot as well but, like you said, you never know in the NFL.
