Merry Christmas

I haven't had a chance to watch the entire game yet so my breakdown will have to come sometime tomorrow. Here are the things I know right now:

The playoff hopes are still alive. (will have current scenarios as soon as they are available)
This team is going to be a lot of fun to watch for the next few years.
I have never seen anyone move so effortlessly through a defense as VY did today on his TD run.
Don't give VY the ball with time left on the clock.
Every Titans fan should be a Dolphins Christmas night.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and maybe the Titans will get a primetime game next Sunday. Keep your fingers crossed.

If I'm right...

which I am usually not :)

This is what needs to happen for the titans to make the playoffs:

We need to win against New England.
New York has to lose both remaining games: 12/25 at Miami, 12/31 Oakland
Bengals have to lose their last game: 12/31 Pittsburgh

I'm thinking Pittsburgh (as much as I hate them) should come alive and beat the bengals. The Jets losing those two games are about 20% in my opinion. The Miami game, I am thinking 75-25% in Miami's favor, but the Oakland game should be about 95% in New York's favor.

What do you guys think the odds are that we get ALL of the ducks in a row then wait around on 12/31 for that Oakland game wearing our black spiked shoulder pads cheering them on?

I think you're right.

Yeah I was thinking about it and I came up with the same situation (before I read your post).

1)I do think the Steelers have a good chance of beating the Bengals

2)I do think the Jets will probably lost to Miami on Monday.

3) I think with Oaklands good Defense that Oakland may be able to pull that game off too.

The thing that I am really worried about is Tennessee vs New England... and if we don't win that it doesn't matter what happens in those other games. I think New England is probably a better team then we are... but if they are sitting people I think we stand a good chance of beating them... because it would be a good game if they were starting their starters.

I will do my Titan duty and cheer for the Dolphins, Raiders, and Steelers in the remaining games... this is of course in addition to the Titans. And I hope they do get that Nation televised game... because I can't see them if they don't... as I am from Michigan.

The Patriots

are probably a better team than the Titans but the Titans have won against quite a few teams that I thought were better than them during this run.

Anything is possible. If nothing else, it is just really cool for the playoffs to still be a possibility after the 15th game. I would have bet a lot of money it wouldn't be possible before the season started.

More than 1 Scenario

According to this website: http://www.playoffstatus.com/nfl/titansclinch.html, there is more than one way for the Titans to get in., but only one doesn't depend on the Jets. The site is pretty fun to play around with.
